Buncee Pro: iPhone App Video Review

Reviewed by Luke Patrick

Are you the kind of person that really likes to send eCards? We don’t mean the sort who occasionally finds a need to whip out a quick Internet find, but the sort of individual who obsesses over every last customizable detail, hoping to really nail the emotion involved in the process? If that sounds like you, or even just someone you know, Buncee Pro (Buncee) is the app for you! The title makes it easy to create truly stellar eCard offerings with little effort from your iPad. If that sounds like a good (and cost-efficient) time, then check beyond the break for our full review of Buncee Pro!

Concept and Functionality ****~ (4/5)

As stated, Buncee Pro serves as an intermediary between your desire to send eCards, your iPad, and your creative forces. In a manner similar to some of the scrapbook applications we’ve taken a look at recently, the title allows users to select from a number of pre-made clipart style categories, dragging and dropping accents as they please. Each of these elements can be modified in terms of scale and rotation, allowing for an unparalleled amount of customization. There’s also the option to add a photo snapped in-app, or from the camera roll. Likewise, users are also free to scribble like crazy, drawing in text, illustrations, or other hand-created elements using just their fingers. These doodles can be modified using a variety of colors, as well.

Once created, it’s a quick process to then move your creations to the Internet. The quick share option within the app allows purchasers to move items to Facebook, Twitter, or eMail at the touch of a button. In other words, if you’d like to send Aunt Bertha the get well card you’ve been working on for hours, there’s now an app for that.

Design and Layout ****~ (4/5)

One of the first things we noticed about the application was it’s superb layout. Buncee Pro makes extensive use of tabbed navigational bars along the sides, as well as a spacious options panel at the bottom. All of the features we needed and craved were within reach, allowing for speedy access. However, we would have liked to see more. We mean that in a general sense, as far as clipart goes. Having even more options with which to express our creativity would have been appreciated, even with the mountain of content currently available.

Overall Value ****½ (4.5/5)

Priced at a rock-solid $0.99, Buncee Pro is an absolute steal for the eCard fanatic in your family. If you’re looking for a quick, convenient and effective way to manage, send, and manufacture eCards from your iPad, there’s no smoother resource in town. Even with the content level as it is, Buncee Pro comes with a price that’s hard to argue against, and a pleasant face to boot.

Buncee Pro 150x150 Buncee Pro: Making eCards eEasy on the iPadBuncee Pro requires iOS 4.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
