Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave Expansion up for download in the market, for FREE

Friday, October 21st, 2011

I am a huge fan of tower defense games, especially really good ones. My fall back is always RoboDefese. Which I am pretty sure was one of the first ones ever made for Android. I know I had it on my G1 back in the day. Since then there have been a number of various versions of this classic game style running around. All offer some sort of theme and style that differs. Not many have taken it to a whole new level though. Trendy Entertainment however did. It was the first game to combine the love of tower defense with the excitement of an RPG.

They are feeling generous and in high spirits. They have breached the 1Million downloads and are even releasing a console version of the game. To celebrate and say thank you to the world that is Android, they are currently offering up Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave for free in the Android Market. Rumor has it that this game should retail for $10. What a savings on an amazing game.

Do you like Words With Friends? Try Hanging With Friends!

Monday, September 26th, 2011

Who’s still playing Words With Friends on their phone? I know you must be because I am too. Well Zynga has now brought over another gem to the Android platform, Hanging with Friends. If you haven’t guessed it already, its words with friends hangman style. So let’s tighten that noose and play that classic “guess the word game” that we all loved.

Zynga has definitely put their twist on the old game, by adding its similar look and sound that Words With Friends has. The animations are smooth and clean, and the game play is great. I’m still in the middle of my first game and I’m slowly realizing how much I suck at this game, but I can only go up from here I guess!

Here are some of the key features of the game:

  • Cute characters in perilous situations
  • Instant replay lets you see your opponent’s guesses
  • Use strategic lifelines for hints

Built on the Games With Friends platform:

  • Turn based design lets you play up to 20 games simultaneously
  • Play with friends or find a match with a random opponent
  •  Stay in touch with friends and family with in-game chat messaging
  • Push notifications tell you when it’s your turn
  • Find friends to play with easily using Facebook Connect

 v

What I found pretty sweet was that fact that you immediately start a new game with your friends and followers on facebook and twitter. So who wants to play me? I guarantee you that you will win.

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

When looking for a game you usually want some that plays well, is a challenge and sometimes fast paced to keep your interests. That is exactly what you get with klobit‘s first game release called Rocketron.

Game play is as simple as tapping your devices screen. The object of the game is to get from one side of the ‘Galaxy’ to the next. You can see how far you have traveled and how far you have left to go at the top of your screen. Along the journey you must avoid flying off into oblivion or crashing into objects. Each of the 10 levels get increasingly difficult adding more challenges for you to over come.

There are small jump portals located through out the levels where timing is critical to make it to the other platform. Add in falling objects and the need for cat like reflexes, Rocketron should keep you on your toes.

Check out the game play video below. It is pretty fast-paced and very dangerous.

Classic Mac Game Marathon Now Available for iPad

Saturday, July 9th, 2011

Before Bungie took the video gaming world by storm with Halo, they made a great game call Marathon for the Macintosh. The first game in the Marathon Trilogy was released way back in 1994 and at the time, the Mac didn’t have a very large catalog of games to choose from. When it was released it was technically more sophisticated than rival FPS such as Doom, but because it was exclusively available for the Mac, it was largely eclipsed by the competition.
